Candy and challenges!

Morning all,

Well another wild and windy night last night but the blooming sun is shining away up there without a care in the world!!! It's a balmy 10° here in Bristol - and it's only 11° in Florida!!! (well it's not 06:00 there yet, to be fair).

This morning I found that Little Claire Designs are offering candy here, until February 5th - so why not pop over there and add your blog to their list.

Over on Craft Mad & Loving It there is always a Sunday themed challenge and this week's fiendish theme, set by Rosie, is FRUIT AND FIBRE!!! which, initially, had me running for the hills! However, I was pondering the meaning of life and suddenly it hit me . . . Fruit . . . . . and fibre - so I stamped my pear and used fibres - as the meerkats might say "Schimples"!

Materials used:
  • White base card
  • Pear image by Rubber Stampede
  • Fruit backing paper - over a year old and printed from a google search result
  • Black card - for matting
  • Chalk ink - Iced Jade
  • Versamark ink - Sage
  • Kraft tag and distress inks in: Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany
  • Selection of fibres
  • 3/8" eyelet set using my crop-a-dile
Nothing planned here for the day at the house of Purpleness - too darned windy for poor hubby to go flying this morning so he's not best pleased but at least he has the option of indoor flying this evening instead.

Whatever you have planned I hope you'll enjoy it and, if it's wild and windy where you are then do take care out there.
